Physical Therapy: On your initial visit at our offices we will evaluate your injury, discuss the cause and come up with a treatment plan to get you back to full working capacity. Often, this begins with traditional physical therapy to reduce pain, restore function and rebuild mobility to the injured area.
- Work Hardening: The purpose of a work hardening program is to facilitate an injured worker’s return to work, job search or job retraining. This is accomplished by providing a structured and active rehabilitation program that is goal-oriented and work-specific.
- Work Conditioning: “a work-related, intensive, goal-oriented prgram specifically designed to restore an individuals’ systemic, nuero-musculo-skeletal (strength, endurance, movement, flexibility and motor control) and cardiopulmonary functions. The objective of the Work Conditioning Program is to restore the patient/client’s physical capacity and function so that the client can return to work.” (APTA, 2002)
- Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE): “the FCE measures the ability of an individual to perform functional or work-related job functions and can provide an estimation of the potential to sustain these tasks over a period of time.” (ErgoRehab, Inc., 2003)
